What is a celebrant?
A celebrant is someone trained to create and deliver bespoke, non-legally binding ceremonies.
Are your ceremonies legally binding?
Wedding ceremonies led by celebrants aren’t legally binding in the UK. Most couples do the legal bit at a registry office, then have their real ceremony with me.
Can we include religious or cultural elements?
Absolutely – I’ll work with you to include any traditions, beliefs or values that matter to you.
Is a Celebrant the same as a Registrar?
A Registrar will do ‘the legal bit’ usually at the registry office and then you can have the wedding day and your actual personalised ceremony with the Celebrant wherever and whenever you wish. More detail here
How far do you travel?
I’m based in Hampshire and also cover Sussex, IOW and the surrounding areas. I’m happy to travel further – let’s chat!
Have you had any training?
Yes. I have received my FOIC Diploma in Funeral & Wedding Celebrancy. https://www.foic.org.uk/
Are you insured?
Yes. I have full Public Liability Insurance, details are available upon request.
